Enhancing Data Extraction for Dell’s Seller Team

Working with the Seller Team for Dell Technologies, our user interviews revealed that extracting information from AMDV — a tool widely used by sales representatives daily was a challenging process for many. AMDV is a tool that helps sales agents and partners sell upgrades by providing accurate information about a customer's current products, their components, and entitlements. It gives a clear view of complex systems installed at the customer’s site, helping users assess what upgrades are possible.

Solution

To address this, we focused on finding the most practical approach and designing a user-friendly interface to simplify data extraction. The tool aims to combine insights from other tools to improve efficiency and support decision-making.

How we got to the solution?

Research Process

We used Teams meetings and UserTesting.com to document research findings and feedback in Miro. To ensure accurate user input, we created temporary designs, allowing users to visualize and interact with concepts before refining the final design.
